The 2012 championship ended with the victory of the young driver Kristoffersson while Morbidelli finished fourth in the ranking with the RS5-Camozzi. The SUPERSTARS INTERNATIONAL SERIES makes the assessment of a 2012 that will surely remain impressed in the memory of many fans. 50 drivers, 9 different brands, 14 teams, television broadcast in 195 territories around the world (66 Live), 177.600 fans that came to the stands of the circuits. In his debut season in the International Superstars Series, the new RS5 built last winter at the premises of Audi Sport Italy won 8 races on 16 races held and in the end won an amazing “grand slam” with the titles available. In the unpredictable and bizarre final of a long and passionate season Johan Kristoffersson was exemplary in showing his determination despite the conditions of the track and the penalties incurred during the last race of Pergusa, determining for the assignment of the title, were definitely adverse to the RS5 of the Swedish driver and to the same cars of Gianni Morbidelli and Thomas Schoeffler.
Being such an important part of this scenery was the reason of great pride and satisfaction for Camozzi, both for the results obtained by the RS5 of Morbidelli as for the representation of the corporate values that in some way always reflect in the world of motorsport: passion, determination, competence and teamwork. When we speak about the association Camozzi-engines/motors, this means going back to 1985 with the first F1 sponsorships where our brand was represented until 2001, participating in 259 races with 35 victories, 35 second places and 34 third places with the teams Arrows, BMS Scuderia Italia, Forti Corse and most of all McLaren.

These were the reasons that lead us to renew also for 2013 the partnership with Audi Sport Italy and especially with Gianni Morbidelli, an expert driver that is always pursueing new and exciting challenges. Not least, among the reasons for the renewal, the interest shown by the entire Camozzi network that, through the hospitality areas especially prepared in 5 of the 8 circuits, hosted hundreds of guests to share with them and the Audi team the race emotions experienced directly from the sideline.
